Book-It Repertory Theatre

Ada's Violinby Susan Hood
TOURS: October–December
THEMES: class status, family dynamics, recycling and sustainable lifestyle, music, community

This show is performed in English and Spanish!

An extraordinary true tale of the Recycled Orchestra of Paraguay, an orchestra made up of children playing instruments built from recycled trash. Ada Ríos dreams of playing the violin, but only until a music teacher named Favio Chávez arrives does she fulfill her dreams.

Join us on Monday, Dec 18 at 10:00am for a public performance of Ada’s Violin. Tickets available here.

Each performance runs between 35 and 45 minutes and can be performed in venues as small as a classroom or as large as an auditorium. In conjunction with each performance, Book-It offers post-show workshops for children and young adults to reinforce what they have seen. These workshops allow young people to make the leap between seeing art and creating it.
