Travel down the road with us to Portland, Oregon to see Jane Jones direct the Book-It adaptation of Great Expectations at Portland Center Stage, February 13, 2016.
Based on Charles Dickens’ classic coming of age novel, Great Expectations tells the adventures of the Victorian orphan Pip. As a boy, Pip has three encounters with people that will change his life: the escaped convict Magwitch, the bewitching and cold Estella, and the unhinged Miss Havisham. When Pip comes into an unforeseen fortune and begins the life of a gentleman, his past is not so easily left behind, and the surprising adventures of his new life are decidedly unexpected.
The excursion includes tickets to the show, dinner at a nearby restaurant, and overnight stay at the Mark Spencer Hotel. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to reserve your space. Space is limited.
This event is sold out.

Bringing Books to Life Fundraising Breakfast
Our annual Bringing Books to Life Breakfast, October 22, 2015, raised more than $30,000 to fund our touring stories, in-class residencies, teacher training, and local events. Last year we reached 60,000 students and educators throughout Washington State with Book-It programming. We are so grateful for our community’s support of our literacy work in schools.
