Wilson was born and raised in the Book-It family. The son and godson of artistic directors Myra Platt and Jane Jones respectively, Wilson grew up in rehearsal halls and learned from the wisdom of hundreds of amazing productions over the years. He is honored to serve as (temporary) president of the board, and can’t wait to welcome back old and new Book-It patrons alike!
After 14 years of living in LA, Hilary is back in the PNW and back at Book-it! She spent nearly a decade in the early 2000s performing on both the Book-it mainstage and in touring shows, culminating with one of her favorite roles in Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. Book-it always did and always will feel like home. Hilary is honored to serve as VP of the new Book-it board for the reimagining of this beloved theatre company. In addition to her professional theatre career, Hilary managed grants and a corporate giving program for 11 years and is now building a new business coaching masters athletes and speaking on public stages. Hilary is forever grateful to Jane and Myra for the brilliant, artistic space they created and the years of passion they poured into the Seattle community. She looks forward to supporting the progression of their legacy and making the Book-it style of great art accessible to audiences new and old.
After 12 years of living in NYC, Devorah is back in the PNW with her family and thrilled to be serving as Secretary on the new Book-It Board. Devorah worked with Book-It from 2004-2010 on over 20 productions, audition seasons and guilty pleasure fundraisers. She looks forward to supporting the legacy and future of the Book-It style.

Kevin McKeon has acted in, adapted and directed shows at Book-It since 1995. “Being able to work at Book-It changed my life. It is an honor to be working with it again to revitalize the company”
Jean White has been a long-time fan and subscriber to Book-It Theatre. Shortly after moving to Seattle in 1996, she was invited to see Cedar House Rules Part I. As a former English major and book lover, she was hooked! She and her husband Dave started getting season tickets and inviting friends to join them in seeing shows. When their son George was in elementary school, she helped to bring the Book-It All Over Education Program to his school West Woodland Elementary. The Book-It style and mission fit so well into the school’s curriculum that it became a beloved tradition and Book-It’s longest running Book-It All Over school gig. Jean is thrilled to be part of bringing Book-It Theatre and the Book-It style back to Seattle.
My love for Book-It goes back to Tacoma in 1990 when my good friend in college started babysitting Wilson Platt. Wilson was a baby in a crib then. Today he is Book-It’s board president. Meeting Wilson led to meeting Myra, and I started going to every Book-It show I could. In 1997, I went to a Book-It fundraiser on Halloween. Never having a creative idea for a costume, I went dressed as a soccer player and met Jane. I was a long-time Book-It fan when Myra approached me in 1999 about becoming their first managing director. Even though Jane still thought I was a soccer player, I was hired. I started at Book-It’s Westlake space, in a tiny office with five employees, two landline phones, and dozens of volunteer company members keeping it all going. Seeing the dedication and passion firsthand made me love Book-It even more. By the time I left, I had lifelong friends, a great appreciation for how faithfully the adaptations honored the books I loved, and a deep connection to the nonprofit sector that informed my entire career. Besides Book-It, I’ve worked at Treehouse, the Laurel Foundation, and Luma Consulting, and I am currently the executive director of the Medina Foundation. I am so honored to be a part of Book-It’s comeback.
